Tom Cruise’s must watch movies.

Today is the day, we discuss some of the best Tom Cruise movies and a must-watch in my opinion. They also serve as a good starter if you haven’t watched any Tom Cruise movie yet. Weird, BTW.

We are not ranking these movies from worst to best or vice versa.

Mission Impossible series: If you haven’t already watched the Mission Impossible movies then bro, what? What have you done your whole life? Mission Impossible is with no doubt one of the most famous action franchises out there and it lives up to the hype too. The franchise has 6 movies yet and more are coming in the upcoming years. Tom Cruise playing agent Ethan Hunt from the IMF (The Impossible Mission Force)who is tasked with protecting the world…that is if he chooses to BTW sometimes from terrorists or sometimes protecting himself from his own company and the rest I’ll leave it to the trailer.

Edge of Tomorrow: Edge of Tomorrow is a sci-fi, action movie. The film takes place in a future where most of Europe is conquered by Aliens and Tom Cruise’s character Major Cage is a public relations officer with no field experience who’s forced to fight in the war but finds himself stuck in a time loop living the same day over and over again. The character development of Tom Cruise’s character is amazing in the film as he’s experienced so so many things in just…one day!!

Top Gun: A hot-shot Navy jet pilot Lt. Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) and his friend Goose (Anthony Edwards) are given a chance to train at the US navy’s fighter weapons school where he flirts with a teacher (classic Tom Cruise). An accident happens at the school and it affects the personality of Maverick. The film offers a great story and great character development and the second part of the film “Top Gun: Maverick” is releasing tomorrow after 35 years.

Rain Man: Rain Man is the story of a selfish wheeler-dealer Charlie Babbitt (Tom Cruise) who finds out that his father is dead and has named all of his wealth to his other son Raymond Babbitt (Dustin Hoffman) an autistic but smart man whose existence was unknown to Charlie all these years. The film takes the two brothers on an unexpected road trip on which they bond and complain and basically everything that brothers do. There’s a reason the movie won Oscars for best actor, best director, best original screenplay and best picture.

Collateral: Max (Jamie Foxx) an honest cab driver is shocked after learning that his passenger Vincent (Tom Cruise) is an assassin trying to kill people and must be stopped before it’s too late. It’s a thriller movie and Tom Cruise has an awesome look. Why you should watch the movie is not just because it’s a good movie but also because in this movie Tom Cruise is in a negative role and quite frankly, he nails the role.

Jerry Maguire: A sports agent Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise) has a crisis of consciousness and writes a company-wide mission statement that gets him fired. He loses all of his clients except one Rod Tidwell (Cuba Gooding Jr.) who wants a better contract. While leaving his old firm he announces that he will be opening his own agency and asks everyone if someone wants to join. Only one lady who’s a single mother joins him and the story begins. Jerry Maguire was one of the highest-grossing movies of 1996 and also earned Oscar nominations for best picture and best actor and Cuba Gooding Jr even won one for best-supporting actor. Plus it has so many iconic lines “Show me the money”, “Help me, Help you” and more.

A few good men: Daniel Kaffee, a US military lawyer, defends two US marines charged with murdering a fellow marine at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba. The needle of suspicion, thus, points to a colonel.
